It's possible but harder than other breeds because huskies were bred to run long distances and make independent decisions. You're fighting genetics. Start in a fenced area or on a 50-foot long line so failure isn't an option. Let him sniff and wander. Call him once using a unique cue (not 'come' if you've overused it). If he doesn't respond in 3 seconds, reel him in with the line and reward him heavily when he reaches you โ€” treat jackpot, tug game, whatever he loves most. You're teaching the pattern, not testing it. Repeat 100 times over three weeks in progressively harder environments. Never practice off-leash in an unfenced area until he's responding 95%+ of the time on the long line. Even then, huskies are flight risks. Most need a GPS collar as backup. Also: never call him and then end the fun. Call him 5-6 times during an outing, reward, then release him to keep playing. If recall always means 'time to leave,' he'll never come.
