🎙️ Voice Mode
Voice mode is built for the moments typing isn't possible — mid-walk, 2am potty chaos, first crate session. The coach knows your dog's breed, age, and exactly what you've been working on.
⏱ 15 min per session · 60 min/month · Founding membership
Most training sessions don't happen at a desk. Voice mode exists because these moments are when you actually need a coach.
Another dog just appeared. You have about 10 seconds. Voice gives you a real-time reset script from a coach who knows your dog's trigger history — no scrolling.
Something just clicked. Narrate what happened, get an immediate reinforcement plan before you forget the details. The coach remembers this for your next session.
Voice walks you through each step without you needing to look at your phone. Keep your eyes on your dog. The coach handles the cues.
Driving back from the vet. Talk through what the vet said, what questions you forgot to ask, and what to do this week. Hands stay on the wheel.
No setup. No mode-switching. One tap and you're talking to a coach who already knows everything.
Available inside any coaching session. Your existing chat context carries over — the coach doesn't start from scratch.
The coach has your dog's breed, age, current skill curriculum, and recent session notes. You can just describe what's happening — no background explanation needed.
Transcript, insights, and any skill progress detected during the call are saved to your dog's profile. Chat mode picks up right where voice left off.
Voice is included in the founding membership. It is not unlimited. Here's exactly what you get:
What's included — founding membership
Per session hard stop. The session ends and a summary is saved. You can start a new session immediately.
Per month across all sessions. Resets on your billing date. The app shows how much you've used.
These limits exist because realtime voice AI runs at real cost — approximately $0.15/minute. The founding membership is $5/month. That math only works at a cap. We'd rather be honest about it than hide it in fine print and then enforce it. For context on how we think about costs and pricing, see the /build page.
Baelor is a 3 months-old Golden Retriever — Jason's dog, the one FetchCoach was built around. The most common voice use case in his sessions is real-time recall coaching when distractions appear on morning walks.
📍 Real usage — Jason + Baelor
"We hit a stretch of trail where two off-leash dogs appeared from nowhere. I tapped voice, said 'two dogs ahead, Baelor is already pulling' — and had a 30-second reset script before we reached them. That's the use case. Typing that would have taken too long."

Voice works best in short, focused bursts — not extended sessions. The 15-minute cap nudges you toward that naturally. Most sessions end at 6–8 minutes because the training moment resolved.
